Back to Back
Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions, Jo.
What is your favourite lesfic book and why?

What a question! Over the last couple of years I’ve completely flooded my bookshelves with sapphic books and I am so grateful for each and every one of them. Two of my favourites are Iona Kane’s celebrity romance, Sleepless Nights and Warm Pearls and Paper Cranes by E.V. Bancroft. It is a wonderful exploration of a romance set against the history of the Second World War. I’ve also tried new genres and one of my favourites this year has been A Game of Hearts and Heists by Ruby Roe.It’s a magical fantasy with plenty of spicy adventure.
Thanks for the shout out, I’m so glad you enjoyed Warm Pearls.
From your novels (both published and WIP) who is your favourite character and why?
I really enjoyed spending time with Charlie Mason as a character. I loved writing her family scenes where we saw how she’d been nurtured by her parents. I also liked exploring her ‘fix it’ attitude. She’s a boss character who gets things done. But she has to breakdown her own barriers to let Elda into her heart.

Here You Are has been a very popular romance. Would you consider a sequel based on the same characters and town? If not, why not?I never thought about writing a sequel in the traditional sense, but I’d love to explore the world a bit more. I absolutely adore the character of Sylvie, who becomes Elda’s friend in Paris. She has such a dry tone of voice and personality that I would really enjoy getting to know her a bit more.
Ooh yes we’d love to see more of Sylvie
If you could spend a day with another popular author, whom would you choose, and why?

I’d love to spend the day with Juno Dawson, the author of Her Majesty’s Royal Coven. She’s an amazing writer and activist. I’d like to have a few cocktails and chat through the issues of the day with Juno. Maybe try on some shoes and a new shade of lipstick.
I’ll clearly have to check this out – but I’ll pass on the lipstick thanks!
What are you working on at the moment?I’m working on my second novel, Back to Back. It’s the story of flighty PR exec, Ruby, and building site boss, Winifred, known to her mates as Fred. They’re complete opposites but are drawn like magnets to each other. Think chemistry and chaos.
Sounds intriguing. Can’t wait for it.
And a bonus question:
   6. What animal best represents you and why?
Dog. Fiercely loyal. Will eat three meals a day and unlimited snacks. Likes napping and kisses.
Thanks for your interesting and entertaining response, Jo and good luck with the new book.
